We must say WOW. We didn’t think that Madame Tussauds had it in them. They’ve finally created an African American statue that genuinely looks like the person that it’s supposed to represent. Madame Tussauds unveiled its Whoopi Goldberg waxwork figure wearing a replica of the costume she wears in the musical ‘Sister Act’, on August 18, 2010 in London, England.
Madame Tussauds has unveiled several wax figures of various African American celebrities including; Michael Jackson, Tupac, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and many many others, but this one is by far the best.
Whoopi Goldberg reclaimed her role as Deloris Van Cartier, aka Sister Mary Clarence, in the UK production of Sister Act: The Musical Cast Change on August 10, 2010 in London, England.
We absolutely loved both Sister Act and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. We’re pretty sure that the musical is outstanding. We’d love to catch a showing. say what you want about Whoopi, but she’s extremely talented.
Wyclef Jean, Whoopi Goldberg, Mary J. Blige and others came out to the Hope Help & Relief Haiti “A Night Of Humanity” event at Urban Zen on February 8, 2010 in New York City.
It’s good to see that the celebs still have their minds on those that are suffering over in Haiti.
