Nia Long and her Soul Food co-star, Mekhi Phifer, chatted it up as they both attended the 20th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards at Directors Guild Of America on August 30, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.
Nia was looking cute as usual. Though no one’s really been talking about it, we’ve noticed that Nia won’t be joining Martin Lawrence in the third installment of the popular Big Momma’s House films. The film titled, Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, will consist of a nearly all new cast as, Jascha Washington has been replace as Trent, by actor Brandon T. Jackson. We’re not entirely sure why Nia won’t be returning to the widely successful franchise, but hopefully she was at least asked to return, but turned it down.
Actress Meagan Good and her gorgeous sister, actress Lamyia Good, both looked stunning as they walked the red carpet for the 20th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards at Directors Guild Of America on August 30, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.
Although Lamyia isn’t as well known as Meagan, she’s appeared in a number of popular films and TV shows including; The Wood, Sister Sister, The Parkers and Judging Amy. Lamyia is also appearing in Meagan’s upcoming film, Video Girl, which will more than likely be released straight to DVD sometime this year.
P.S. Meagan’s dress is super hot, but is that butt crack we see???
Actress Amber Riley of the hit TV series, Glee, looked amazing as she hit the red carpet during the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on August 29, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. We’re loving that dress on Amber.
Glee has been nominated for Best Comedy Series plus over 15 other nominations in various categories.
Actress Raven Symone looked super fab as she attended the Picnic In The Park for “Tinker Bell And The Great Fairy Rescue” at La Cienega Park on August 28, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California. The actress signed autographs and hit the red carpet during the event. Raven stars in the animated movies as, Iridessa.

Actress/rapper Queen Latifah attended a book signing for her latest endeavour, Put on Your Crown. The book is the Queen encouraging young women by admitting her own mistakes, and sharing the lessons she’s learned. According to Latifah, she realized how many young women are stuck in violent relationships, putting themselves down and dealing with other personal challenges, she decided to reach out.
Sound like it may be a good book. You can say what you want about Queen Latifah, but she seems to really have herself together and would be a good person to take advice from.

Actress Niecy Nash is the latest celeb to get the boot on the hit reality show, Dancing with the Stars. Niecy put up a good fight, but in the end it wasn’t enough t0 keep her in the running. The Guess Who actress was sent home tonight and had this to say to her fans and supporters.
I’ve had such a fantastic time being able to live out my dream.
She also added that she felt like she accomplished her goal of redeeming herself as a dancer. Niecy also thanked her mom, her boyfriend, Jay Tucker aka Mr. Wonderful, and van Amstel who she claims molded her into something.
