Fantasia recently spoke with People Magazine regarding her recent mess of a life. And here is what she had to say.
“I didn’t have any fight in me. I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted out. At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that $#!$. I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can’t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.”

Fantasia released the following statement to her fans in regards to her highly publicized mental breakdown and the upcoming release of her third album:
“I can’t thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time. It has given me the motivation to get back to work and honor the commitments I made to promote Back To Me. I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”
We’re sorry, but the whole thing seems staged. Attempt suicide one day, film your reality series the next and promote your album the day after that. FISHY!!!
Fantasia’s album is set to hit stores August 24th (word is it’s pretty good) . In related news, her very married boyfriend, Antwuan Cook, packed his stuff and left his family home earlier today. We had no idea the man was still living at home with the wife. Scandalous Fanny, scandalous.
It’s no secret that Fantasia has had a rough couple of days with the whole wife possibly suing her for sleeping with her husband thing and the attempted suicide debackle, but should we feel sorry for Fantasia? Or do we say she made her bed (or messed with somebody else’s) and now she’s gotta lay in it?
It sad how rampant cheating is in Hollywood or just life in general, but where does the blame fall??? We’re kinda on the fence when it comes to Fantasia as a whole, her voice is extremely annoying, singing or not and she often times carry herself in a sloppy/ghetto manner, but did she fall for the okey doke or is she just as much to blame for this situation as her man is?
In our personal opinion, Fantasia and any other woman she let married men be. If he’s in the process of a divorce, let that divorce play out and then make your move, but who really wants somebody else’s freshly sloppy seconds.
While the whole suicide situation is unfortunate, Fanny, we have no sympathy. You interjected yourself in someone’s life and your actions have concequences. Next time, go for someone that doesn’t have a ton of baggage. If he lies to you, get out and stay out.

Fantasia Barrino reportedly overdosed on prescription drugs last night. According to TMZ the former American Idol winner was rushed to the hospital around 8:55pm on Monday night, August 9, 2010.
TMZ stated the following:
Fantasia Barrino was rushed to a North Carolina hospital last night where she was treated for a “medication overdose,” this according to WCNC.com.

Well, this is no shocker. Laurence Fishburne’s daughter, Montana, was arrested for prostitution back in November 2009 in Los Angeles. The now porn-star plead no contest and was ordered to 104 hours of community service, two years probation, as well as AIDS and STD testing.
Her probation also stipulated that she not offer to engage and do not engage in any form of sexual activity for money or any other consideration. Do not engage or offer to engage in any sexual activity in a public place or a place open to the public or exposed to public view.

We thought that Laurence would have raised a better daughter, but who knows.
