What an interesting comparison!?!?!? During a recent interview with VIBE Magazine, former music executive, Irv Gotti, did the unthinkable, he compared Nicki Minaj to Lauryn Hill.

Irv Gotti: The world has yet to see the best of Nicki Minaj. What she’s delivering to the world now is basically what they want. But I know that she’s a super talented superstar who can do anything at a high level—rap, sing, act, whatever she wants to do. This is just the beginning of Nicki Minaj. Her best is yet to come. In my opinion she is as talented as my other girl Lauryn Hill. They have completely different styles. But as far as the talent is concerned they both can do it all. Nicki just isn’t showing it yet ’cause she doesn’t want to. But world be prepared ’cause she’s the truth!

Now… we love both Nicki Minaj and Lauryn Hill, but to compare the two of them together is bull-ish. They aren’t even on the same level. Nicki is talented at what she does, but as he said, she hasn’t acted, sang or done half or what Lauryn Hill has done to date.

Last time she stayed away this long (cause she was mad at Papa Knowles), she came out with B’ Day, her absolute best album yet. Will we have a hot new album to look forward to in the near future???

Rapper T.I. will also cover the latest edition of Complex Magazine. Rumors have bee circulating that the rapper and his fiance Tiny may be jumping the broom this weekend, but we say…why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free???

The last time you were on our cover, you mentioned retirement. Three years later, on “I’m Back,” you mention retiring again.

T.I.: I’m kickin’ 30 down this year, so it’s about time to start thinking about an exit strategy. I’m not saying this is my last album or the next album is my last album, but I don’t see myself rappin’ for 10 or 20 more years. Although I could. Let’s say I do it for five more years, and after that, when I do an album, it’ll be an event. It’s not going to be day in, day out. Maybe every two or three years, a world tour, the whole shebang.

But you see artists like Jay-Z making great albums at 40.

T.I.: It can be done, but at the same time, Jay’s method is for Jay. I ain’t seen nobody else take that model and use it to their advantage.

Eminem is still making great music at 37. He’s pushing the boundaries when most people have fallen off.

T.I.: True, but if I do that at that late an age, I’m taking away from all the other opportunities that I have. I want to have an Oscar by then. I want to have made my mark in film as a producer and actor by the time I’m Jay’s or Eminem’s age.

Guess which fabulous rapper was spotted performing over in Germany?

Hint: He raps, sings, produces and just about everything else music and he’s into fashion.

It’s the ever so talented Pharrell Williams. The artist performed live during a concert at the Max-Schmeling-Halle on July 08, 2010 in Berlin, Germany.

The two haven’t been spotted together since late February, early March and now US Weekly is claiming that Kanye West and Amber Rose are on a break… We know what that means, Ross and Rachel.

Aparently a source close to Kanye spoke with the magazine has said;

“They are still good friends.  Kanye is consumed with recording his comeback record in Hawaii and had to shut it all off. When he’s in work mode, he can’t handle a relationship. He told Amber he needs to devote everything right now to his craft.”

Another source said this;

“I wouldn’t say it’s over for good. It’s always off-and-on when it’s convenient for these two. He doesn’t go out anymore and she loves it, so he lets her. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are seen together again next week.”
