Red Carpet: The Princess and the Frog
All the black celebs came out to the L.A. Premier of The Princess and the Frog. The significance of this upcoming film is great. It’s a fairy tale centered on a young black girl named Princess Tiana who lives in New Orleans’ French Quarter during the Jazz Age. The first ever fairy tale with and African American star. The film’s official release date for the USA in December 11, 2009.
Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance brought along their children, Bronwyn Golden and Slater Josiah, to the World Premiere of Disney’s The Princess and The Frog hosted by Walt Disney Studios on November 15, 2009 at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. Also present were singer Ne-Yo, actor Terrence Howard, actress Jenifer Lewis, actor Keith David, Yvette Nicole Brown, and the films star, Anika Noni Rose.
Anika may look familiar, she starred in the 2006 production of Dreamgirls, along with Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce, as Lorell.
