Entrepreneur/rapper Jay-Z attended the the ceremonial groundbreaking for Barclays Center at Atlantic Yards on March 11, 2010 in New York City. The Barclays Center is a proposed sports arena to be built in Brooklyn, New York City. Plans call for it to be built partly on a platform over the Metropolitan Transportation Authority-owned Atlantic Yards at Atlantic Avenue. It is part of a proposed $3.5 billion sports arena, business and residential complex. The arena is intended to serve as a new home for the National Basketball Association’s New Jersey Nets, which Jay-Z has an investment in.
Until March 1st, the rapper and his mutual invester were have issues with the deal going through. That’s when the Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Abraham Gerges struck down a challenge by property owners regarding the state’s use of eminent domain, which allowed the private property to be condemned.
Also present during the ceremony was Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce.

Regina King, Ludacris, and Trina hit up BET’s “106 & Park” at BET Studios on March 10, 2010 in New York City. Regina was there to promote her upcoming film, Our Family Wedding, which also stars actor Lance Gross. Our Family Wedding hits theaters on tomorrow. Ludacris was there to promote his album, Battle of the Sexes, which hit stores March 9th. Luda also co-hosted Live with Regis and Kelly alongside Kelly Ripa on yesterday.

Actor/singer/rapper Tyrese was spotted in West Hollywood on yesterday with his ex-wife, Norma, and daughter Shayla. The singer took his precious baby girl out for some yogurt and candy. If you remember Tyrese and Norma had a very messy, very public divorce a while back. It’s good to see that they’ve put their differences behind them for the sake of Shayla.
