23 year old actress Jurnee Smollett and her co-star, Jerry O’Connell, were at the 2010 CBS Summer TCAs at The Beverly Hilton hotel on July 28, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California, where they discussed their upcoming TV pilot, The Defenders.
Jurnee captured the hearts of millions with her guest roles on hit shows like Cosby, Full House, and Hanging with Mr. Cooper. As of late she’s appeared several films and TV shows including The Great Debaters with Denzel Washington, Friday Night Lights and Grey’s Anatomy.
The Defenders is another law show about two flashy Las Vegas criminal defense attorneys go to the mat for their clients. Jurnee plays Lisa Tyler a newcomer to the lawyers firm.
The show airs September 22nd on CBS. The show actually looks like it might be pretty good.
J. Cole, Estelle, Melanie Fiona, and Laura Izibor came out to the 2010 Grey Goose Entertainment & BET’s “Rising Icons” Series at Avenue on July 27, 2010 in New York City in honor of singer Melanie Fiona.
106 & Park host, Terrence J., TV personality Free and rapper Wale were also there in attendance.
Melanie’s currently working on her sophomore album, The MF Life. No official release date has been set, but the album is scheduled to be releases this year and will feature a “stadium soul” sound. John Legend is said to be working with her on the album.
Vh1 reality stars Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco will both be suiting up for the Cincinnati Bengals. for the next year at least. Terrell Owens has just been announced as the latest to join the team. The former Buffalo Bill is said to have signed a 1 year/$2 million contract with the team.
Rumors of the TO switch has been circulating for the last few days, but today it’s official, according to Chad Ochocinco, at least. The Bengals have yet to give an official confirmation.
Check it. Estelle’s latest video, Fall in Love, which also features John Legend as recently been released. The video also features the sexiest man ever, Jesse Williams.

Is Rihanna set to be the next… damn I can barely name a super hot black actress… (please help us come up with some names)… SMH. But, it’s been announced that Rihanna is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming film, Battleship. The film is said to a big screen adaptation of the board game…ummm okay. Sad to say, but we’ve never played battleship so that mean absolutely nothing to us. The film is set to be released some time in 2012 and will also star, True Blood’sAlexander Skarsgard and actor/comedian Tom Arnold.
Not to sure about it, but we’re definitely gonna be tuning in!!!
